2	When you first insert the CD it will auto run and display as you see here Do Not process from here but Click the EXIT
3	You must install the upgrade from the Control Panel Click on Start and Click on Control Panel (Your Menu setup may vary from the above display depending upon how you have configured Windows 2000 or Windows XP – Or Windows Vista – Business Edition or Higher Note: Windows Vista Home is not supported in any version
4	In Control Panel (Classic View) Click on Add or Remove Programs This screen may also vary depending upon your version of Windows and how you have it configured.
5	Windows now displays a listing of all the programs you have installed.
6	On the Left side of the screen click the Add New Programs – Then Click the CD button
7	Your CD is already in the drive so click next
8	The Drive Letter may be different depending upon the number of CD drives you have and where you have placed the firehouse CD
9	Firehouse displays the option screen
10	Click the update existing Installation Click Skip automatic search for existing installation
11	Review the Splash Screen and Click Next
12	Drive C: \Program Files\FIREHOUSE Software Should be the default location for your Data In some cases it may be different especially if you use a network. If you are uncertain as to the location of your files Click on the Browse button and search for them on your drives
13	Make certain you check Update the Database
14	Click yes to back up the databases
15	DO NOT check the box, Click Next ONLY check the box if you are running a NETWORK. For instructions on this contact the WCVFRA Office.
16	Click the Install Button
17	This is the processing Status Screen
18	When it has completed it will clear to this memo Box
19	Firehouse Program Software has been updated Click OK to update the Databases to the new version – You must do this or the program will be unable to access your data.
20	These should auto fill with the correct information Make certain they are checked as indicated above and click UPDATE
21	The database update has begun
22	Database processing status bar displays until completion
23	Now it is upgrading the lookup tables
24	Now it is Updating the indexes
25	This will display each individual Database as it processes
26	When you see this Click OK
27	The update is now complete click YES
28	You may review the log if you wish but it is not necessary
29	UPDATE is now complete Click OK
30	Now you should continue with the installation of the documentation – make certain it is checked as shown above
31	When you see this Click Next
32	Should Read the same as before may be different on your installation – probably Drive C:
33	Make certain the items are checked as shown above
34	When you see this Click Next

37	Run Firehouse You should receive this error it is normal – Click OK
38	Check the Do not Show this again Box
39	Click on the incident and browse to check your records
40	Click ADD to Add Units
41	Go to TOOLS & then Workstation Options
42	This box will come up due too the FH Background is in VERSION 6.
43	This Tab should look like this At the bottom right will be YOUR STATION Number
44	This is the Problem area Go to the DESKTOP GRAPHIC
45	Chose from the list of what YOU want on the Background. YOU can also add your Department patch here if you want, contact the WCVFRA Office for details
